Share an authentic Portuguese experience by discovering Lisbon, guided by Ana Bohane, a local photographer and Lisbon native.
Workshops-by-Ana offer phone photography masterclasses that will take your creative and technical skills to the next level.
In each location, you learn a little bit of history, practice taking unique shots and get to know the powerful creative features of your smartphone.
Join Ana as part of a small group or hire her for a 1-2-1 workshop where you will explore beautiful Lisbon, find new angles on the historical landmarks and squares, explore hidden neighbourhoods, traditional Tascas and friendly local life.
The workshops include elements of street, travel, portrait and documentary photography. You will learn and then practice making the most of exposure, focus, composition and experimenting with natural light. Towards the end of the session we will take time to review your best photos and edit them like a pro for any application be it prints, or sharing on social media.
Lisbon offers amazing light, terrific food and photo opportunities around every corner.

Workshops by Ana; Phone Photography Workshop are available in various locations across Lisbon and the Setubal region where you can find the most gorgeous and unique beaches.
WHAT CAN YOU LEARN?
WHAT TO EXPECT
We start the session by getting to know each other and what you want to get out of the session, before hitting the calçada (cobbled streets) and capture some stunning images.
All you need to bring is a curious mind and a fully charged smartphone (Android or iPhone).
We cover different technical photography topics from exposure, focusing and composition to visual storytelling; editing and great photo apps to try.
But most of all, you will discover both traditional and modern Lisbon.
Workshops can last from 2hrs (group workshops), to a half or full day (1-2-1 sessions)

Hi, I'm Ana
I was born in Lisbon where I lived until I was 21 years old. My sense of adventure took me to London. I stayed there for 20 years, got married and had my 3 boys. In 2020 we decided it was time to move back... to the city of light. Sweet gorgeous Lisbon!
Whilst in London, I worked as a filmmaker and photographer in fashion, portraits, landscape and brand photography.
I absolutely love teaching my Smartphone Workshops, they are a fun and interactive way of sharing all of tips and tricks I have learned through the years.
